It takes several attempts to ignite from cold. It usually will stay alight but even that sometimes requires more than several attempts of igniting and holding knob in for 20 seconds. That is what I intend to do next. Except Baxi no longer make/maintain their gas fires. It's Glenn Dimplex. Called them out anyway.

This one is under warranty (and only 4 days old!) but am interested to hear what generally causes these to not ignite from cold until several attempts have been made. Installer has been out twice, you can see the piezo igniting, opened the heat exchanger and cleaned burner with a soft brush but...

The boiler was installed on Wednesday (2nd April). The boiler itself was new but had a datestamp of 2006. The pipework to the rads is new, as are the rads themselves. The Benchmark Checklist in the manual says the system was cleaned using X800 cleaner and X100 Inhibitor was used but I am not...
