The wooden flooring is laid like floor tiles? cover the floor with bonding compound and fit floor to it. Not put the compound down in blobs as this would lead to moisture getting in between the new floor and concrete.

We have just had oak flooring laid on a concrete floor laid about 30 years ago, so do not know if the was a dpm laid. Can anybody tell me what was done in those days? The flooring has now been removed as it was now touching all four sides of the wall and another room is about to be done...
