Remote wired button to arm system

    24v thermostat

Hi everyone, Just wanted to share that I got my Nest thermostat working with a 24v transformer and 24vac relay using the following wiring. My boiler is a Vaillant Ecotect plus 837. http://imgur.com/JjHJQq2 . Thanks for the advice on the board.

    screwfix mitre saw deal

The deal actually also includes an Evolution circular saw but I don't want to get two tools neither of which end up being very good. If it's better to get just one decent circular saw instead, I wonder if that's a better option.

    screwfix mitre saw deal

Hi I'm going to lay some decking and am looking for a mitre saw I may only ever use for this one project - I see that screwfix have a £100 deal for an Evolution 210mm compound mitre saw and circular saw. Is it good value for money and up to the job in hand? Many thanks.

I can see in the Ectotec manual that terminals 7, 8, 9 are for 24v - hoping that I can use these?

    24v thermostat

Hi forum In a bad move, I've bought an american thermostat (Nest) which operates on 24v and is not compatible with the 240v of my vaillant ecotec 837. Anyone know if there is a way to get them to work (transformer?). Thanks in advance :o

    Moving gas meter for extension

Thank, a few hundred would be reasonable but the website suggested 1500-2000 which is certainly not pennies, and also not worth it given it's not essential to my plans. I would also end up having to move the electric meter. A few hundred might be worth, I'll get some more advice from...

    Moving gas meter for extension

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone has any advice. I'm doing an extension and I'll be moving the location of the stairs. Ideally I'd like to move the gas meter too, but it's not essential to the plan. I've seen the prices for doing this within 2 metres and they're hundreds of pounds...
