How do you know what cable to use and where to run it? Er....that was my question. If I'm breaking regs by running the cable myself I'd rather not but I've done something similar before when I've run the cabling for a ring main for a new kitchen, leaving the spark to fit the power points...

Really? Surely all I'm doing is first-fix of the cabling - spark would do all the connecting and fitting work. I guess it's a regs thing......
