thanks ricicle but still not clear.. the light has 3 standard cables in the block - brown, blue & earth, it sounds like I have to use all 4 of mine but which goes to which? instructions state earth MUST be used

Am trying to replace an external PIR/light. the cable going to it is 4 core - red, blue, yellow and unsheathed earth. The old PIR was no help, it used white cable for a start. Have looked in the switch arrangement, it is a double switch, the other switch for a kitchen light both COM terminals...
