Haven't done anything about it yet. Top up every couple of weeks. The last conversation with Grant put me off the whole thing, but I know its brewing. In our case I can't see any water under burner so I am suspecting its leaking into combustion chamber and evapourating out. They'll be no rust...

Thanks. Yes it looks like the pushfit stuff. Have you any clever idea's how I can run a long (like 10m) extension to divert this waste pipe temporarily? I need a long flexible pipe that clamps onto the 35mm OD pipe, but not sure what would do the job.

It seems to have a rubber seal. Either way, any way to temporarily attach to this pipe? (I need to divert it for a few days from drain). I can cut into it, but need to attach an extension pipe to it.

Just found a part number on one of the fittings. So it is 1 1/4 " - presumably rubber seal push fit. Is this type/size still available or can it interchange with modern available sizes? Just need to extend it with an elbow of some sort. Many thanks

I've an old cottage with a waste pipe coming out of kitchen wall to drain, that I need to add to (too difficult to replace at the moment), but I can't yet take it apart to find its internal diameter. It seems to be 34/35mm OD, and I think its been there coming out of kitchen wall since the 70's...

Thanks, will do. They only have two years warranty I presume? We're in year 4. Have been checking all joints etc for months. By elimination it was looking like the boiler - the rusty water under combustion box seems to have confirmed it.
