How do you normally reinforce loft joists like these? What can be done?

You are correct it absolutely does need reinforced. The team who carried out my gas conversion have said they will put it right. How would you go about putting this right? presumably the pipes will need lifted , and joist reinforced

Our drains are connected to a site drainage which goes off site to the sewers (or whatever its called) - so I don't think I need a soakaway? The drain goes to a U-bend which goes to drainage off site under the road somewhere
