Dan thanks for reply. yes he's corgi and it's def not air but the backlash of the water when the tap is shut off. He did fit a 'hammer' ? perhaps that's the same as the value you mention but it didn't help... And as the pipes run inside the walls not sure how he could clip? Many thanks again.
