Machine not taking up fabric conditioner

Hi Rachel, If you take out the soap/conditioner drawer and put water into it, check that you can get water to run thru the conditioner hole. Sometimes this tiny hole can get clogged up with limescale and old detergent and you need to get a small screwdriver into it to clear

I got around this by tapping a small socket connection into the valve. Did the job.

Putting copper pipes behind skirting boards

Hi, I got a fairly old system with fairly old microbore piping and radiators which are prone to leaks. I plan to tear out the lot and replace when the weather's a bit warmer. Somebody suggested to me that I could run the piping behind the skirting boards. I plan to screw the new...

    Tiling over Floor Boards

Hi, I want to tile over old floorboards in kitchen. They're solid enough and don't creak. Don't want to tile directly onto floorboards because it won't take too good and the bounce (although limited) will cause the tiles to crack over time. Anybody got any advice on what to put down on...

    Rads downstairs cold

A Chara Madhatter, I managed to get some oddball parts in EuroHeat on the Greenhills Road. It's just behind the Plumb Centre after the Walkinstown Roundabout. They're pretty helpful and a lot cheaper than the Woodies/B&Q boys for stuff. Le meas, Forlopp.

    Can't find DRAIN TAP

Completely agree with you BAB. The only reason I haven't pulled out the downstairs radiator is because I'd prefer to tackle this over the weekend. I reckon previous owners had downstairs rads changed to high output and workman forgot to include drain tap. Thanks for all your help just the same.

    Can't find DRAIN TAP

Thanks for that. Have been reading up on this. Going to buy a decent wrench and try this at the weekend. As soon as I have it out, I'm going to install a drain tap on this one and flush out the whole system.

    Can't find DRAIN TAP

OK, got plastic housing completely off this evening. This definitely isn't the drain tap so it's back to removing the radiator I think. Thanks for all your help!

    Can't find DRAIN TAP

Thanks Slugbabydotcom, Was just a bit nervous about taking out the radiator when there was still a fair bit of water running around. However, I hit the jackpot earlier on today. There's a vertical plastic covering about 9" long at the side of the house. It sits just under the gate post. I...

    Can't find DRAIN TAP

Thanks guys, Checked outside and removed panels at back of cupboard to no avail....so it's either under the floor boards or non-existant. Going to pull up floor boards next. Really appreciate your help! Happy New Year.
