Kitchen Plinth LED Strip Fitting Advice

Interesting. Which orientation? LED strip on the plinth facing forwards or on the trim facing downwards? Could you draw it? Aluminium?

Kitchen Plinth LED Strip Fitting Advice

I wonder about removing the plinths though and snagging on the LED strip? And would you use a profile, with diffuser, or not?

The ones I've fitted previously are from this range Seamless I've been very happy with them, and the supplier.

Kitchen Plinth LED Strip Fitting Advice

Hi, I've previously installed LED strips to my kitchen wall cabinets, so I'm familiar with the process. I'm now thinking of adding LED strips to the plinths (kickboards) but I'm not sure what to do. The strips I used previously have sticky backing so could be installed without profile -...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

Much appreciate your responses. I must confess I didn't understand everything you wrote there. But, and correct me if I'm wrong, I think you're suggesting that 79C is close to shutting off the burner due to overheating. Is that correct? I've looked through many of the menus and I can't work...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

    I had a bath! I monitored the boiler while I was running the bath. Readings as follows: d.36 initially 10 l/min settling to 9.7 ... 9.6 at intervals d.40 55, 74, 76, 78, 77, 78, 79 d.41 45, 54, 56, 57, 56, 56, 55 Water ran hot the whole time. One thing that dawned on me - I guess I knew...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

Thanks. I will probably try the bath test this evening. I'll get the Mrs to run the bath while I monitor the boiler. I think the S parameters are status parameters. They are shown under the Live Monitoring menu item but they only show the current status and are not stored as far as I know.

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

OK Test results 1: Unfortunately they are unremarkable This was the shower d.36 after an initial burst settled at around 3 l/min d.40 65 to 62 d.41 55 to 53 The heating had been on prior to the shower. No temperature fluctuation reported. The only thing I should say is that my wife doesn't...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

Just to update while I'm waiting for the Mrs to decide to shower/bath: The boiler was installed 2 years to the day, pretty much. The system was power flushed as part of the installation. It was serviced after about 16 months. I think I can safely say that this "hot water going tepid for a...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

TBH, I wouldn't be able to say for certain because it happens so infrequently it's hard to remember. Most recently it happened to me in the bath. I ran the hot water to top up the bath - and after a while it ran tepid. I wouldn't be able to say for sure at what point it happens in the shower.

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

Target flow temp is 65 DHW is set to 58 Need get the Mrs to have a shower/bath (!) - so that I can monitor the boiler as it's happening.

Thanks for that. I'll report back when I know more.

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

OK thanks. That test at the bath will have to wait until tomorrow. I can confirm that there are no faults logged in the fault list. I would have thought that if it heats enough to trip the burner then that would be logged as a fault, no?

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

This seems to be mentioned a lot on tinternet. I wouldn't dream of getting inside a boiler but can you explain to a layman, or point me to something that explains what this is? I'm somewhat baffled that this would happen on a fairly young boiler that's been serviced this year. Actually I...

    Sudden Cold Water From Combi

This is the first time I've monitored these things inside the installer menu, so bear with ... d.036 = 5 l/min up to 5.13 l/min d.039 = in my menu this is some solar thing so not cold water temp d.040 = 68 d.041 = 54 This wasn't the bath tap, btw, but the nearest tap to the boiler. I ran it...
