Thanks for that. Very interesting. I have thought it must be something in the servo - maybe the actuation, but haven't been able to find out how it works. Your suggestion certainly fits the facts. Thanks again. Pity servos are so expensive!
Hi. I have a 1999 Ford Escort Flight Estate 1.6 Zetec engine
Three problems with front brakes. I have replaced pads, disks and calipers
1) On a frosty morning, when I brake, the front brakes lock on and take an age to unlock. Turning off engine, depressing brake pedal hard and starting...
The boiler has been in 6 weeks. It stands on the floor, flue straight out through the wall. The smell has been here all the time the boiler has been here, but only comes when it is running

My landlord has updated the (oil) central heating here...

Not clear how either of those affect it. Either it is in breach or it is not...?
Work carried out by 'electrician'. No certificate issued yet - system allegedly not commissioned - although up and running!
My landlord has recently upgraded my heating installation and I am concerned about possible breaches of IEE wiring regs
Can anyone please advise on the following ?
- cable jammed between floorboards and hot pipes.
- cable run through loose floorboard
- cable scorched by blowlamp, then...
