    Thanks for your replies. No there is no mention of RCD protection for any of their units. Thanks for your valued input STI, I think a call to the manufacturer is next. And I thought we couldn't go wrong with a British made unit ?

    Thanks for replies. The installation instructions are professionally written, even if we question their correctness. There is a table for the different power rating showers and the suggested protective device to adopt. The interesting cut off point is 8.6Kw. eg. For units up to 8.5Kw...

    Just purchased a 'British' made 9.5Kw shower. The instructions say it should be protected by a 45A BS1361 fuse. This seems a bit of a retrograde step after having my electrics upgraded to a split load consumer unit? Any comments please? Shower mabe by Applied Energy Products, Peterborough...
