    Thanks for this - Makes sense to put a new one on there, the old one looks pretty outdated. If it's a case of figuring one which wire goes where I'll give it a bash of fitting a new one. Any recommendations for brands/type etc? Will need one that can run the hot water and heating separately...

    Hi, I've just bought a property where the heating and hot water timer is bust. How easy are these things to replace? It is possible for an absolute novice to change it, or is it a case of getting someone in? Cheers Gary
