I’ve not long had a bathroom fitted and had this waste, slow drainage of water. Could I put a couple of holes in the visible ‘pipe’ when lifting the chrome top to aid drainage?

I don't want to rule it out, but on that image you can almost see the path the water has taken above the DPM which leads me to think that the drip channel isn't doing its job and water is running past this and in the space below the frame/above the DPM.

So, after some investigative work it looks like the water is coming in around the DPM that you can see below the sill. The picture below shows the trickle in after a night of rain. The water is coming in both below the DPM and above it, below the french doors. The fix to this in my mind is...

it all points to flashing and or tiles. Maybe something under the window lintel but if the wall itself has dried out then my guess is one of the first options.

I would imagine it's the downpipe as others have suggested and once in the water is directed towards the other end of the beam. Or, if you have a bathroom above it could be from a leak in there if you're confident the flashing is sealed

You should be able to screed it if need be and maybe use blackjack or something similar. I screenshot this a few days back for something that I may be doing which may help your case.

Thanks RobinBanks, I'll have a search for what the drains should look like. It was built by a specialist and recommended company so I'd like to think they know what they're doing. The only obvious thing that stands out is a drip run under the frame itself. There isn't any water visible around...
