    Diverter valve—which way is which?

Hi Pete, As your boiler is a combi I would think that the Honeywell valve you have does not have a mid position (heat & water) position, The reason you are getting lukewarm water is probably because the valve is allowing some of the hot water to circulate around the heating circuit when you are...

Wireless programmers and other small creatures

Why not leave the old programmer connected and time the hot water with it and put the heating in the constant position and then connect a programmable wireless room thermostat? How often doe's your customer need to overide the hot water setting?

Potterton Profile 60e - starting and stopping

Sounds like it could be the PCB, have seen a few Profile/Prima boilers that attempt to start as as soon as the fan triggers the air pressure switch the PCB starts the ignition sequence again, the pilot light should not remain lit all the time. It could be a solenoid problem, try swapping the...

If the heating is turned on the pump will dump the contents of the thermal store to the rads, this can...

    heating problem pump???

Sounds like it's the pump failing to me, I have seen this a couple of times (both Grundfos 15/60 models) were the pump stops after running for a few minutes then after it cools down it starts again, check to see if the power is still supplied to the pump when it stops.

    condensing boiler over pressurising

As stated above the boiler should be drained first, If you press the Schroder valve in is there air? if you get water then the expansion vessel has failed. When you repressurise the system doe's the gauge climb rapidly? if so then the expansion vessel is at fault, could be a blockage in the...
