got a baxi inset super 3 ks gas fire it lights pilot flame ok but carries on igniting and will not go to main flame???
any ideas????
oxy pilot has been replaced & p.c.b
Sorry I don`t understand what u are trying to say???
The system is:
gravity hot water
2 x 28mm pipes
one is flow to the cylinder with vent pipe to F&E tank
one is return to the boiler with cold feed from F&E tank.
pumped heating
2 x pipes for heating
22mm flow with double check...
nope i changed the pump myself 2 years ago its pumping back into the boiler (return pipe)
thanks for that though
any more suggestions??? this ones really giving me a headache!!!!
system doesnt look piped up correctly to me!!!
where is the boiler in your first photograph???
where does that 22mm pipe go coming off the left hand side of the air seperator (copper cup thing)
The PROPER way to set up your system bypass is to use a temperature gauge and slowly adjust the gate valve accordingly until you get a 11@c temerature differential between flow and return (on the bypass circuit)
Wondering if anyone can suggest why and offer a solution......
I have been working on a baxi back boiler, gravity hot water, pumped central heating.
Everytime you turn the c.heating on the tank is filling up from the cold feed connection raising the water level in the F&E tank and then pushing...
It sounds to me that you may have a partially blocked hot water heat exchanger, which requires de-scaling or more than likely replacing.
Either that or its a faulty D.H.W temperature sensor.
Either way you require a heating engineer to determine the fault and rectify the problem.
obviously you wouldnt leave a "dangly live end"!! you would use electrical insulation tape and tape it up, the wire is in a insulated spade connection anyway and unlikely to cause a problem.
Firstly Remember this is only a temporary measure to get heating tonight.
And secondly i would not...
Common fault on potterton puma/combi 80, the problem is the actual low water pressure switch, this is located behind the printed circuit board screwed into the diverter valve.
The easiest instant cure is to remove one of the 2 wires going to the switch.
the long term cure is to drain the...
