    Than what tells it to fire up. Trv heads won’t fire the boiler. Is it a smart thermostat. Get a decent heat engineer out.

    Easiest way is to link out the thermostat check for 240 on brown at the valve. If 240 not at orange yer head is knackered. Mega easy repair

    usually cold feed blocked, difficult to say without looking at the system, dirty system could be out pal.

    You can get 50kw combis now. They work fine as long as flow rate is ok.

    Hes having a nightmare trying to fix it, he can’t get an engineer in who can fix it. If pump ain’t running at full speed there’s a restriction somewhere. Bleed the highest radiators. Take of valve head, strip diverter head. Check cold feed is not blocked. Pretty simple stuff.

    Open vent on cylinder, check for any air in there. Could be valve or worse still flow switch on boiler.

    I’d say your pump is knackered if there is 240v going there. If not your cold feed is blocked

    Hw on and hw off are mixed up, try switching them. Or 1 and 2 on the cylinder stat.
