That's what the existing system uses and I don't want to change it. I also don't have to worry about water ever getting into the fitting and blowing the RCD so double win.

I've picked up some GU10 based spotlights that I want to convert to 12v to run on our existing system by swapping the light socket to a MR16 one. What should I do with the earth connection after I convert them?
