Well maybe I'm just unlucky then... I don't assume anything, just going by my own past experiences. But I understand where you're coming from. Out of interest, would you say £95 is a fair quote for fitting a thermostatic blending valve?

I did find a local plumber who said the same thing, sent me a quote but then I never heard back from him when I tried to arrange a date to carry out the work! I reckon I can do that myself anyway but I'll still need someone to look at the water heater, soooo.... If anyone can recommend someone...
