Hi
I'm looking to fix a frame to make enclosed shed inside this barn. However any idea whats the best way to fix to the beam pillars.
We are planning to box in and put a breathable membrane on the outside then insulate.
Any ideas would help
Afternoon all
I'm looking to put a new window into our our stairs (very dark), so were thinking of it being a long window frosted (allowed regs).
However the question / concern is as its a corner with a roof hip how close / far down do I need to go ?
Evening all.
Not sure we're this should go.
The concern is I've got a multi stove going to be fitted and the builder is asking does he need to render the door return or can he just plastic cap it and board?
I've attached a picture of the flue that runs close by.
Evening All,
I have a Brick to Brick opening of 930 and wondering what size of door will I need to purchase, I assume it will be special made but not much I can do about that is there?
Hi all,
Any idea what this is, I think damp but its only behind the radiator. The plaster surface is soft and crumbles but only the very top.
The outside wall is rough render, and this is below a window that im planning on replacing shortly.

I did that by dropping a copy of the note next door. But I dont know if they collected it or not. And I'm aware of the 14 days if no answer dispute is considered. At that point what happens?
Morning all,
I looking to build an extension and need a party wall agreement with next door, however the house is rented but no one is currently there (old lady in hospital, and don't have number for family).
Now I've looked up the deeds and sent a letter to the registered owner...
We ran into the 45% guide (they allow to break it but not by much), the issue we had was 6m and under on PD you ignor the guide. But under planning permission they enforce it. So you can break it if your doing PD and they dont complain, but if you do Planning then they will enforce.
It was...
Many thanks for the update, it appears that the builder for some reason does not want to do this, I think I'll have to end up getting my own structual engineer to get the cals done.
