my only concern is whether the inlet and outlet will be in the same positions relative to each other - are these standard or might the height of the drainage pipe need to be adjusted?

Thanks :-) it eventually started working of its own accord, so seems like it could be an intermittant fault. I think my boiler service is due soon so I'll get an engineer to take a look then unless it completely gives up in the meantime.

I have a Baxi 50HE Plus boiler, with a hot water tank. Heating is wet underfloor downstairs and radiators upstairs. I have separate Honeywell control units - one downstairs which controls the underfloor and hot water, and another upstairs for the radiators.

I'm not entirely sure about floor construction, apart from it being solid under the carpet so I assume it is screed. Not sure about flow rates either unfortunately as the meters don't show any meaningful readings, even though there is definitely some flow.
