D_Hailsham,
Normal service has been resumed !!!
The problem appears to have been the "tap" too stiff for the actuator to be able to turn completely off.
Hot water now runs without heating rads, and pump stops after a couple of mins when system turns off.
Can I buy a new tap assembly...

"This suggests that the CH valve is not closing the CH circuit, even though the motor is operating the switch.
Turn off the CH and remove the cover from the CH valve; the lever on the side should be in the Auto position. When you move the lever to open the valve there should be...

Thanks for reply. Have carried out you're instructions, but to no avail !
When I turn mains on to programmer pump starts running evan when HW & CH are off
In HW only rads come on.
In CH only rads come on.
Can't tell if hot water works as emersion had been on.
Both...
D_Hailsham,
Have now puchased a room stat to add to the confusion. With this in mind, and the picture of my connector box, can you work out what I need to do ?
Regards
Graham
D_Hailsham
Ok have posted picture of the box. All wires are black, but they are numbered 1-4.
The white cable coming in from the right is the cylinder stat. Of the two grey ones, one is from the controller, and the other goes to the boiler.
Control house temp using rad stats, but I'm...

Thanks for your help. I have 5 wires in one cable.
1. Attached to earth
2. Attached to neutral
3. connected to terminal 2
4. connected to terminal 3
5. connected to terminal 4
I do not have a room stat, so where does "CH on" connect to ?
Regards
Graham
Waterworks,
Tried moving wire from 2 to 1, but it didn't make any difference.
Should I have a wire attached to all four terminals ?
The cable I'm using has five wires, an earth then wires numbered 1-4 Should I be using cable with more wires ?
Should I run in a seperate neutral to...
twgas,
Tried to do that, but valve has been positioned too close to an elbow to allow operation of the lever. It wil only go half way before hitting the pipe work! It is currently set to auto.
I'm sure the problem is with the way I've wired (not wired) the programmer, as the system worked...
TWgas,
I'm sorry, I'm not sure. I do have what I think are valves. One connected to pipe work going to the HW cylinder, and the other on pipe work going elsewhere, presumably CH.
There is a Danfoss pump near by, but this appears only to work when the the CH is on. If I just set HW to on...
Hi,
Changed old clock style timer (seperate HW/CH) for a RWB9 and thought I'd copied the wiring without any issues, all seemed to work !
This was until the warmer weather, when we only wanted the HW and not the CH on. Programmer is not firing boiler or pump. I only get HW if I put the CH...
