Ok, so that kicked the heating in and the radiators are getting hot - thank you for that. So does that mean definitively that a new thermostat is needed? However...while boiler is kicking out heat, the hot water has ceased and it's freezing cold!?

I have reset it I think - simply pressed the reset button!? It's a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi Combi.

Morning all - thanks in advance for any help! We woke up this morning with virtually zero pressure in the boiler. I managed to solve that problem using this forum and the instruction booklet, so now the pressure is at 1.5. When we demand hot water, we get it, and the pilot light comes on...
