Quick update - Cleaning the drainage channels didn't make a huge amount of difference. We got the Velux guy out for their free inspection, he checked all of the windows, said they were installed correctly but just needed a tiny bit of 'tightening up'. Didn't cost a thing, and no leaks since :)
