Turning the drum by hand, theres a grind on a small section of the rotation, not all the way round i migt add. cant work out the reason

Problem with Indesit Washine Machine Model W143SUK as when its on its spin Cycle it sounds like a jet engine. Taken the rear cover to examine the drum and when spun theres a grinding sound. Is this the inner drum rubbing against the outer housing or the bearings need replacing. Doesn't sound...
