For the benefit of others of the type of information I was seeking and to 'close the loop' on my own question ... The valve srainer was not blocked or even dirty beyond a brown coloration of the strainer due to `clayey water` after several water board switch offs due to leaks in the road etc...

Great cheers Onetap. Yeah there's a square hole in the middle of the black screw head. Anybody had low water pressure that was rectified by cleaning or replacing the filter / strainer on the cartridge on the valve below (RWC 312C)? Or does the pressure regulating workings ever get tired /...
