HI. thanks for you response. i think it was this harness you mention that i pulled out and reconected.[ maybe just a bad connection]. but i was worried it was a sign something more serious was going on. its fantastic to get a resonse from people who know what there talking about. cheers...

my central heating boiler control panel just stopped working today. after checking mains power going into the boiler was fine i took out the small fuse in front of the p.c.b. it was fine. i then pulled out the spade connections directly above the fuse and reconected. i switched the mains back on...
