cheers richard. was going to put air intake and outlet at top and bottom to allow for heat. the fire cant go flush inside as heat come out the top so it just hangs on the wall basically, the tv will be flush so the angled heat of the fire comes away from the tv anyway if that makes sense. my...

hi guys new here, i want to make a frame that houses the tv and a mounted electric fire which is secured to the wall floor and ceiling. Every video i have seen the ceiling isnt there. Can i attach the stud to the ceiling onto joists or best just to cut it out and attach to joists?
