I've now spoken to the plumbers merchant And then there supplier who agreed they'd supplied the wrong part to the local merchant. My plumbers ever so eloquent response has been "well I ain't cocked up"...I'd have said as he's the engineer then he's the technical authority on this. Haven't paid...

Unfortunately Kingspan, the original cylinder manufacturer no longer offer support. As far as I can understand they don't own the cylinder side anymore. The support people I spoke to just weren't interested.

Btw he charged me £200 for the part. Said it was an old part/configuration so difficult to source and said the 8 bar 3 bar was the replacement according to his supplier (probably 25 years since installation now)

So is there a safety issue here? I need to prove a point to him. He's a difficult individual and I regret engaging him.

My tundish was permanently dripping from my Tribune HE 150L indirect cylinder and plumber concluded it was the multibloc PRV which was a 3/6 bar. He couldn't find a direct replacement at his supplier and put a 3 bar/8 bar on. I'm now worried this could be setting me up for future problems and...
