The wall of my house is the boundary and the post is right on the boundary. Obviously they can put a gate in on their land but I don’t believe it should touch my wall and possibly cause damage. It is a large wooden post.

I live in a detached house. My neighbour has recently installed a gate post hard up against my wall. (They also attached fittings into my wall but have taken them down and repaired the wall). They say that the post is free standing but it is actually touching the wall. It bridges the damp course...
