    Oil dipstick snapped

    I have a Peugeot 307 03 plate. When I last checked my oil the plastic end snapped off in the tube, which I now presume is in the sump. I immediately changed the oil,but it never came out. The exhaust in in the way of dropping the sump. Will my engine survive with the plastic bit still in the...

    Changed thermocouple, pilot light still goes out.

    Yes Bab is right, it does have two pumps, it's like a tank! Cheers for all your suggestions. I'll have a go at the ones I think I can get my head round. Any other suggestions most welcome. I'll let you know how I get on. Watch this space......

    I have a big old Myson, Midas BF combi boiler ( Prob about 10 - 15 years old). My problem is that the pilot light keeps going out. This happens randomly, usually just as my wife needs hot water !!! The problem is happening more often. I've changed the thermocouple, but pilot still goes...
