What to do with earth wire for LED transformer - what kind of cable ?

I would use mains leds. Forget the transformers, loads of hassle. Mains much easier just wire them up in a loop. Job done. More reliable.

Yes, I did point that out, the excuse was its been fitted so no exchange.

    Led down lighters flickering

Update, went back to the shop, well known electrical factors, refused to take it back, no led drivers in stock and expensive so swapped them out for mains GU10s. :)

    Led down lighters flickering

So what's the difference between these electrically? The transformer I have works some of the time and flickers some of the time.

    Led down lighters flickering

So I need to take the transformer back to the shop and ask for one suitable for Leds?

    Led down lighters flickering

Ah, so the transformer needs to specify for Leds. Makes sense! The guy sold me the wrong things. So I need a bulb with the driver integrated into the fitting?

    Led down lighters flickering

Will photo today. I have 3 new leds. All flicker. Surely they are all not faulty. Will photo the transformer today. But again both exhibited the same problem. The leds are pretty hot to to the touch when they flicker. They also flicker when only two are connected. Note the don't flicker unless...

    Led down lighters flickering

Swapped my kitchen halogens gu 5.3s, 3 in parallel, wired off a 12v lv transformer for b and q leds(as I can't seem to get halogens). However the lights flicker after a time and go out eventually. I bought another transformer, swapped it out. Same problem. Also rewired the lights now with new...

    19 small(ish) holes in ceiling

Cut out plaster pieces with the correct size. Cut small timber batten, put over the hole. Pull down with looped string and secure with plast screw. Screw round board into hole. Fill with filler. Job done. Be done in a coupla hours or so.

Leaking bay (not window fitting or roof)

Leaking behind the old TV splitter box on the upper bay? Driving rain will force its way in especially if facing the storm. If the upper roof was leaking id be inclined to see more evidence of water in the upper bay. Get a ladder and have a good look around the window seals.

    Blown Tyrolean Render Patch

Was this damp here before you fitted the kitchen? Looks like a fair bit of water, check for other water leaks, it may be a new leak somewhere else and water is travelling? Poss related to water meter?

Insulated plasterboard and behind kitchen units

Batten it out with 10mm or so battens, drywall it with insulated plasterboard, job done :)

    Mains water pipe

Interestingly I posted another thread about a damp problem on the front wall. I think it's likely they are related. What sort of radius around the leak would this affect the building (ground is slightly running away).

    Mains water pipe

Meter update, been off for 12 hrs now. Meter showing. x.67 to x.83 so I reckon 0.16m3. So my reckoning 320 litres per day.
