    Hi, got a wooden deck which is looking tattier and tattier and we want to get rid of it. It's surrounded by trellis fence panels which are supported by fence posts. I'd like to keep the shape of the space the deck makes i.e. keep the trellis and posts but just get rid of the wooden deck...

    Hi, I'm filling in my garden pond this year - it's roughly 1,000 gallon capacity and not a uniform depth - I just want to convert it back to lawn. Can anyone help me calculate how many of the wickes jumbo bags of aggregate I'd need to order. And how much topsoil to order too? Thanks.

    Hi, Got an aroured power cable running out of the house, under some paving then under a deck and into a socket. The socket feeds two 'outdoor' switches, one of which powers a pond pump ... question is, I thik - should I put an RCD on the power cable coming out of the house? And...

    Hi Dan, not as far as I know. can you elaborate a little? what's an FCU? Also I have no idea as to how deep the hi-tuff cable is buried under the lawn but the lawn itself only seems to be around 8 inches or so deep. is that problematic? cheers, Mark.

    Hi, I've recently been looking around my loft (had too much time on my hands over xmas) and can see some large steel? rectangular ducts runing oaround the loft space. the house I'm in had hot air central heating when built which has been replaced by the more traditional hot water thingy...

    Hey Dan, thanks for replying and explining in a way I can (mostly :oops: ) understand. the armoured cable is a thick rubbery/plasticy affair, not metal or anything like that... cheers

    got some pics ... first, inside the house - it looks like it domes off a normal socket (that's got a phone charger plugged in to it) second, armoured cable coming out of thehouse and under some paving (and lawn and decking) third, blurry and difficult to see but it's the grey...

    thanks for the responses ... I'll try to get some pics tomorrow but the circular connector thingy is quite difficult to see ... the switch/socket stuff and the feed from the house are easy to get pics of though ... btw, what does notifiable mean?
