No and the isualtion is coming out as it needs to be 100 or 150 on top of the roof joists then insualted plasterboard on that

The chimney ran half into the back bedroom and half into the bathroom. The 8x2s are sat on the brick wall betweeen the 2 bedrooms and downstairs there is another brick wall seperating the 2 living rooms and a steel that runs the full way across the rooms

I just take out the chimney which was supporting the purlin and added a full length one to the front of the existing. Are your saying it will require a steel no matter what? Thanks for the message

It is. I live on my own so I just intended it to be for storage but I did it all out as if it is a bedroom. This is my first house and didn't know I needed building control in for me to do this work
