How long would an additional expansion vessel take to install. They're saying 2 hours! :( :(

I let water into the system each morning, I assumed this meant there was a leak in the pipes but the plumber that came over said he wants to replace the vessel for a hefty price, will this solve the problem or is there a leak in the pipes?! Thanks very worried :(
