hi chris thanks for your prompt reply. ok tried that....no noise at all and boiler not firing up, if i undo screw to turn manually on pump water comes out, and the white deposits? thanks in advance

Sorry a bit of a novice.....not sure of the Baxi model no.? hw works ok but no ch, i have checked pump (Grundfos 15/60) and there seems to be splash marks and white deposit around seals, i presume this is the problem, if so do i have to repressurise the boiler after changing the pump and is...
