Help needed with Geberit flush pipe seal

Could somebody tell me how to remove the plastic circlip and rubber washer from a leaking flush pipe connection at the bottom of a Geberit low height concealed cistern? Also is it possible to do this with the cistern and WC in situ?

Vaillant VRC 470f keeps resetting it's self.

I would be interested to find out the final conclusion on this. I have a similar problem with a Vaillant VRT350f wireless programmable thermostat, which sometimes reverts to the factory time/date setting. I am not sure if it only happens when the power to my boiler (Ecotec plus 831 combi) is...

    Partially draining a sealed system

Thanks for your advice - I will try that when I do the job in the next few weeks. I assume it would still be best to close all the radiator valves first, so that if the vacuum somehow got broken, at least only the water in the pipes would get dumped on my kitchen floor.

    Partially draining a sealed system

I need to find a very slow leak in my sealed central heating system and, to narrow down the search, I want to install a pair of full bore isolation valves in the flow and return pipes that supply the upstairs radiators. Since these valves have compression connections I don’t need the pipes to be...

Lounge Radiator that only works when bedroom radiator switched on.

Is it possible that when the bedroom radiator is switched off, the heat demand becomes too small for the boiler to handle (because the rate of flow through the lounge radiator is too low due to blockage or faulty valve) so the burner shuts down? What happens if you switch your "sauna" radiator...

    Isolating Valves for Central Heating

I need to put 15mm isolating valves in the feed and return to the upstairs part of our central heating system (which has a combi boiler). The reason for doing this is to isolate the upstairs radiators/pipework to narrow down the search area for a very small leak under the floor boards (most of...

    Combi system slowly losing pressure

Is it OK to use the Hot Water when the CH is isolated at the boiler?

    Combi system slowly losing pressure

I'm planning to try to install a pair of isolation valves in the pipes which feed the upstairs radiators from the kitchen. I should then be able to establish whether the leak is upstairs (which would give me a real headache especially if iit turns out to be under the tiled bathroom floor) or if...

    Combi system slowly losing pressure

Six months ago we had the open vented central heating system (powered by back boiler) in our 3-bedroom semi renewed. We had a Vaillant ecotec plus 831 combi boiler put in the kitchen, and this works very well apart from the pressure issue described here. At the same time all the radiators were...

Vaillant ecoTec plus 837 issue: Radiators slow to heat up

Adam90 did you ever find a solution for this? I have exactly the same problem with a Vaillant ecotec plus 831 and Vaillant VRT 350f wireless programmable thermostat. The symptoms are exactly as you describe. Very slow heating. from cold. Sometimes if I switch off and on off and on again it...
