    LED Workshop lighting

Hi I am looking to upgrade the lighting in my garage from 2 very old single florescent tubes, both situated at the same end, to LED. The garage is approx. 5m x 2.7m single garage with a sloped roof onto the side of the house (approx. 4m at its highest down to 2.5m) and is used as a workshop...

Replacing rim lock with mortise lock

Yes it’s external. The previous owner wasn’t that bothered about security which is why I’m looking to replace it. Also have some rack bolts to fit. It’s a solid wood door. 44mm thick so would fit a mortise lock.

Replacing rim lock with mortise lock

Hi, I currently have a rim lock on our back door that needs replacing. I was planning on fitting a mortise lock but obviously the existing holes for the key and spindle will not line up. Is it better to Install another rim lock or do a mortise and fill the existing holes with some dowel and...

Insulating a pre bought shed floor before assesmbly

Yes done this thanks Would that not then raise the internal floor height or over all building height depending where you attach the shed walls You could be right, maybe this is just massive overkill, I am planing to insulate the inside at some point, clad the walls (mostly for security) and...

Insulating a pre bought shed floor before assesmbly

Yep I checked, should come in at max 2.4m If I use Celotex I would still have an air gap when the T+G sits on top? that's what I cant get my head around, Unless I celotex between the T+G floor joists as well as between the 3X2?

Insulating a pre bought shed floor before assesmbly

Excuse the bad sketch but this roughly shows: Piers added to existing concrete slab. 3x2 frame sitting on top of those T+G prefab shed floor on top of that So the only way to have it tight to the shed floor would be to insulate between the t+g floor battons.

Insulating a pre bought shed floor before assesmbly

Hi, I have had a little snoop around the web but haven't found what I am after. I have a 8x12 shed on order which has a T+G floor. I have made a timber frame for it to sit on out of 3x2 which is sitting on concrete piers and over the old small concrete slab. The shed will be mostly to store...
