Its sounds as though - if the w/top is well bonded to the units I run the risk of damaging the units if I try to separate them. I guess I may have to do as you have done. I'm hoping that where the two pieces meet (L shape corner) I should be able to seperate a little easier; is that case?
I have found a kitchen on ebay and the buyer (me) will have to remove. I'm okay with DIY but never handled granite before. I'm thinking the fun will really start when I have to cut to fit into my kitchen area.
