    No CH but Got HW

Hi Chris Thanks for that - it must be a wiring issue rather than a plumbing issue.... When i looked at the programmer wiring it looked ok. I'll take a look at the Cylinder stat, not entirely sure what to look for - but i'll do my best :) Thanks for the advice, been brilliant so far :)

    No CH but Got HW

Stan, Cheers for the reply, I took a look at the programmer and its been wired correctly. I have a room stat and its switched up to 30 degrees. Makes sense about the white wire. Think i will have to get someone in! I spoke to the previous owner of the house and he said that the CH was...

ChrisR - thanks for the reply. When I took the metal cover off the valve, the wiring looks fine (and looks ok since i changed the syncron motor) Not sure how to check the spindle - could you describe it to me?

    No CH but Got HW

Hi My CH is acting a little wierd and could do with some advice. I have a honeywell 3 port valve. When I pop HW and CH on the lever is in the auto position and the rads remain cold. I can move the level to 'man open' but it springs back. If i hook the lever into 'man open' the rads will...

    Synchron motor?

Hi I have probs with my CH. The HW is fine however when i switch the CH on at the programmer the boiler does not fire. So not heat in the rads. I move the lever on the valve head (honeywell V4073A 3 Port) to open and it slide back to auto it self. So i tied it lever to open (via a wire...

I think i might actually get a new programmer as the one i have is horrible - looks about 20 years old. I might go for the Honeywell ST6400C - is this a good one? first i'll get the CH working (hopefully) on the current one.

Chris - how do you mean 'floppy' - i'm able to move it upwards.... just a quick update of what i noticed this morning:- Had no CH or Water on over night. Tried tap and hot water was still there. Switched CH only on in the programmer, no fireing up noise from the boiler and the pump...

Gasguru At the moment both the water and CH are selected. I'll change it to be CH only and see if it changes. If not i'll take a look in the 3 port valve. thanks
