    Disconnect gas oven - is this a bayonet I see before me?

    I am moving house so need to disconnect the gas oven and need to know how to do this. I'm not sure if this is a bayonet fitting or not. Can anyone advise please? Thanks, David.

    Well, following everybody's advice, I wrote to BG and within a week they phoned and a couple of days after that arranged to send round an engineer to rectify their work. Result! (Hopefully) They are coming tomorrow. By the way I'm not quite an OAP yet. But I guess we all will be one day...

    Yes it was certainly a mistake. I mistakenly thought that British Gas would be reliable, trustworthy and economical.
