Thanks, but I don't like the look of the plastic on a an oak frame - at least the systems I've seen. I have seen one possible solution of using oak boards as a decorative to hide the counter batten ) then I could run the cement board on top of this so only have the usual single batten space..?

I'm shortly erecting a gazebo with open gable ends. The roof will have T&G over the rafters, then counter battens, membrane, tile battens then clay tiles. I don't want a barge board at the gable as that'd hide the oak frame. Is it possible to have the undercloak board under the counter...
