Hi, just a general question. Take a concrete block outbuilding with two window openings close together. Is there any reason why one shouldn't use one long concrete lintel instead of two separate shorter ones as long as each end overhangs by at least 150mm? I can't think of any weakness...

Lovely Richard thank you! I have no intention of clambering up and will leave it to HETAS engineers. 10 years ago mind I would have done it! But with arthritis coming in and a useless lower back, some young guns can do it. Really appreciate the links and will have a read tonight.
