Thanks for that.....useful info...the seals look old but intact and wing nuts are all where they should be.. can you reseal them though(if so what with ) and is the danger leaking gases?? also there is a rope like sealer in the top of the flue...Is this asbestos???...would be grateful for your...

Think so had a bent rod sticking out of the probe end which prevented it going in any further,,thnk this must have been a stop but poss probe isnt in deep anough..will check..thanks for the sugestions been very helpful

Hello...did the same thing as you to boiler and was sucessful,trouble is boiler seems to be getting too hot now??? Did you have this problem as i think it may just be an airlock within the boiler or poss thermosta??? Would be interested in your thoughts Ian

DHW only works when CH on too...then a bit hit and miss...think it may be diaphragm on diverter valve??..if not what else could it be
