Yes. I have turned it off and let the water out of the hose.

Thanks for that reply ,but it’s the reel that’s stiff . Removing the hose will not make any difference.

My Karcher had been working perfectly well up until recently. The reel to wind in the hose suddenly became ultra stiff. The next time I used it it went back to being really easy to turn and then it reverted back to ultra stiff. I’ve tried wd40 but this doesn’t help and the reel really screeches...
