    Attached are the photos of the finished log burner installation that I carried out myself. I employed a private Building Inspector and it has been successfully signed off. Very Happy with the results. Thanks for the advice.

    Thanks John, that's what I meant wall to hearth! Have you experience installing a burner in that situation? i'm planning on employing a private building inspector and do the installation myself. Am I being foolish or should it be easy enough to follow the regs?
