Ah thanks for that, hadn't realised the LCD was temperature not pressure. Makes sense :) I'll have a look at the Eco selector. I don't recall messing with it but I replaced a radiator a few months ago so it's possible I flicked it round at some point. Good ideas, I'll have a look!

Hi all. My house and hot water is heated by an Ariston Microgenus boiler. It's working fine, except, every once in a while, it fires up and the hot water light (as opposed to the central heating light) comes on. The LCD display goes from showing "On" to showing a number reflecting water...

That's top work mate. 1st sheet of plasterboard has gone up, wall has a bit of "give" which according to my sources is pretty normal for metal framing and resilient bars. Plasterboard onto metal work was fecking knackering for some reason... Cheers for all the replies!

ha, the sound is *definitely* coming through the plaster. That's not to say it won't become audible from somewhere else once the walls are done but that's a chance i'm willing to take. the only plasterboard in the house is what i've done myself, this place is *old*.

Hey Joe, the joists run parallel to the wall in question, i.e. the same direction as the wall and ceiling channels will when they're screwed down. I am a touch worried about sound coming through the floorboards but at the moment the party wall is plaster-on-brick-on-plaster so anything is going...

Morning all, My Ariston boiler has developed an interesting fault. When I turn both taps on to recharge the system (after draining to remove a radiator), the left-hand one leaks. It's only a drip, and it stops when I close the taps, but I don't like it. I've tightened the screw inside...
