    Shower waste?

Hi, i'm just about to install a new bathroom in my house and i'm adding in a walk in shower. Would it be advisable to run the shower waste right back to the soil pipe or would it be ok tied into the bath waste? not sure if this would cause problems.

    Problem with different power supplies.

Well it was all connected up thro a UPS. The UPS failed and when it was bypassed to get the thing running again the oxymitter started to play up. A new oxymitter was ordered and when it was fitted there was still the same fault. So we got it running again by putting in the temporary supply. And...

    Problem with different power supplies.

The oxymitter is an oxygen sensor in an incinerator in the carbon fibre factory i work in. The 16a socket i used for the temporary supply is off a completly diff supply. It is fed from a different dist board than the one that the unit was connected to in the first place.

    2 gang 3 way switch

MEM is a brand of electrical equipment, like mk, or crabtree. Thats the only kind i've come across before, apart from grid switches. If its a grid you already have i wouldnt have thought it would be a problem getting a replacement from any electrical wholesaler.

    2 gang 3 way switch

I think MEM do, ( or they used to), switchplates that you could interchange the switches with each other so you could buy a two gang two way switch and a 1gang intermediate switch and replace one of the 2 ways with the intermediate.

    Insulating Over Spotlights

It used to be you had to have at least 50mm either side of the hole to the top and bottom of the joist. But thats almost impossible now with these new builds. But i would say a hole is better than checking the joist, doesnt weaken it as much.

    Electrics to Garage!!

Hi, i would say your 4mm cable would be ok as it will carry up to 40amps, which you say your mcb in the house is rated to anyway. Not sure about him going thro the electric boards box, seems like he's taking an easy option to get into the house. Not sure if its allowed or not. You would normally...
