what else would you need to no i,v made a fire surround out of mdf the back pannel is 9mm mdf is it suitible for gas fire or dose it need to have a fire retardant spray on it if you dont no dont comment

i just need to no if the back pannel needs to protected with some sort of fire retardant with it going onto a gas fire for regulations
