Yes agree about the double Romans, only one in the street, I think it's because the guys found it easier to install, one of the guys dropped a load whilst installing, god knows what would have happened if someone had been passing underneath.

I've just noticed the roofers are back and they are putting lead over the concrete, do you think this will be acceptable?

Thank you for all your input it really is appreciated, it's good to have a second opinion, I'm having my chimney capped and pointed next year so I will make sure its all done, I have a price of £450.00 and it's held until next year, I'm guessing that's about right.

Thanks for that info, I've managed to upload more photos from the front, I spoke with my neighbour, the guys told him they had no lead so this is temporary and the job isn't finished yet, I don't think.he is impressed with them, I'll just have to keep an eye on things and keep you posted.

I thought so I'm no roofer, but when I check my street nobody has their roof and chimney like that, suppose I better tell my neighbour

My neighbour has had a new roof and I noticed instead of using leading they have used some sort of concrete, see photo is this a new practice when tieing the roof to the chimney, I would have thought moisture would get in it and freeze which would cause cracking.... Anybody have and points of view?
